Meet the Author and Illustrator

RONNIE W. NICKELL was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At one month old, his family moved to
Texas. He was raised in Midland, Texas, and has worked in the oil field for forty-five years.
In addition to writing a children's book, Ronnie is an avid craftsman who enjoys working with
native Texas cedar, as well as other natural resources.

DUSTIN J. NICKELL studied animation at the Advanced Technology Center in Denton,
Texas, and animation, 3-D modeling, and traditional art at Full Sail University in Orlando,
Florida. The Houston native has worked on storyboards and conceptual art for companies
such as Universal Studios and Coca-Cola and is currently a full-time concept artist and
illustrator for Old World Studios, LLC.
